VGH was initially founded in 1993 as an engineering office in Gevelsberg, Germany.
Together with a very motivated team, founder and namesake Viktoria Garten quickly turned VGH into a recognized and reliable partner for steel producers worldwide.
In 2006, VGH’s European production unit Theramer was founded to enable VGH to continue to focus on the individual requirements of our customers as well as on quality control and just in time delivery.
In 2016, we established our Chinese division VGH Yingkou Refractories Co. Ltd. to produce high quality shaped refractory products for our customers in the ferrous and non ferrous metal industries.
In 2020, a number of projects were launched to take our German production site Theramer to a whole new level.
By digitizing production and warehouse processes and investing in new machinery, we were able to increase production capacities and ensure highly efficient processes on the existing production lines.
Moreover, the construction of an additional and fully automated production line for unshaped refractory products was initiated in order to meet the high demand at an early stage.
VGH focuses on offering our customers in the iron and steel producing industry complete solutions for all areas of metal melting processes as well as a wide variety of products for the non-ferrous metal industry.
